Honeysuckle is an excellent summer annual forage grass for hay, grazing and green chop. It is a quick growing high yielding hybrid with a high leaf to stem ratio. Quick regrowth makes it suitable for multiple cuttings. Protein levels can reach 14-16% and TDN as much as 58-62%. Stems will be sweet and thin, making it highly palatable. Harvest at 40-50” height (early boot stage) or begin grazin at 24” for the best yield and forage quality.
